SAP Project Systems Functional Lead

POSITION OVERVIEW

The SAP Project Systems Functional Lead will join the Products business unit to steer critical systems integration and planning strategies. The primary mission of this role is to own end-to-end delivery from initial solution design to post-go-live hypercare, ensuring seamless integration across complex technical frameworks. The chosen consultant will spearhead the transformation efforts while managing stakeholder relations and aligning architecture with business requirements.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) design, project definition, and configuration of project profiles, networks, and activities.
• Manage complex cost planning, budgeting, availability control, revenue planning, recognition, and project settlement.
• Conduct progress tracking, forecasting, resource planning, and Results Analysis (RA) to secure stable financial structures.
• Facilitate fit-to-standard workshops, gather requirements, draft functional specifications, and govern RICEFW identification.
• Drive end-to-end testing cycles (Unit, SIT, UAT), manage cutover planning, and provide comprehensive post-go-live hypercare support.
• Coordinate cross-functional integration activities across SAP FI/CO and MM domains while tracking overall project deliverables.

The ideal candidate is a high-level SAP Consultant (Equivalent Grade 7) possessing authoritative knowledge in SAP Project Systems alongside strong financial and materials management integration experience. They exhibit a confident, collaborative tone suitable for high-stakes stakeholder environments and display meticulous ownership over large-scale S/4HANA transformation projects. This individual must be self-driven, analytical, and highly seasoned in executing remote project deliverables on a strict timeline.
Job Responsibilities

• Own the comprehensive design of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), project definitions, profiles, networks, and cost control frameworks.
• Lead fit-to-standard workshops, gather complex user requirements, compile detailed functional specifications, and govern RICEFW items.
• Execute rigorous testing cycles—including Unit, SIT, and UAT—while finalizing comprehensive cutover planning and hypercare protocols.
• Partner with cross-functional technical teams to manage financials, budgeting configurations, and deep integrations across SAP FI/CO and MM landscapes.
