SAP QM SME

Location: Waltham, MA – Hybrid (Travel as needed)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Quality Management (QM) Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong functional and domain expertise in SAP QM. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in support and enhancement projects, with exposure to end-to-end implementations and pharmaceutical industry processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide functional expertise and support for SAP QM applications and business processes.

• Work on support, enhancement, rollout, and implementation projects.

• Prepare functional specifications, conduct testing, resolve defects, and support bug fixes.

• Configure SAP QM solutions for new developments and business requirements.

• Support and manage QM Master Data, Notifications, Cost Management, Inspections, Batch Management, Usage Decisions, and Defect Recording.

• Work with DMR (Document/Defect Management Reporting) as applicable.

• Support integration with SAP EWM, PP, MM, and other SAP modules.

• Apply SAP QM business processes within pharmaceutical industry environments.

• Collaborate with ABAP teams on enhancements, issue resolution, and bug fixes.

• Support rollout activities and continuous process improvements.

• Follow IT service management processes including Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management.

• Analyze business requirements and provide effective SAP QM solutions.

• Collaborate with business users and technical teams to ensure successful delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP QM.

• Extensive experience in support and enhancement projects.

• Experience with SAP QM configuration and functional specifications.

• Strong knowledge of:

  • QM Master Data

  • QM Notifications

  • QM Cost Management

  • QM Inspections

  • Batch Management

  • Usage Decision

  • Defect Recording

  • DMR

• Experience integrating SAP QM with EWM, PP, MM, and other modules.

• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry QM processes.

• Experience working with ABAP teams for enhancements and defect resolution.

• Strong testing, troubleshooting, and issue-resolution skills.

• Knowledge of Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management.

• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
