We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Extended Warehouse Management Lead Consultant to lead warehouse process and solution design for a complex transformation program. The role requires at least 10 years of SAP EWM project experience and delivery experience across a minimum of two SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.

This is a hands-on, client-facing leadership role. The consultant will facilitate design workshops, guide fit-to-standard decisions, influence business stakeholders toward SAP standard capabilities and proven warehouse practices, and own end-to-end EWM delivery across design, build, integration, testing, cutover, training, and stabilization.

Key Responsibilities:
EWM Transformation and Design Leadership
Lead current-state assessment, requirements discovery, warehouse process diagnostics, fit-to-standard analysis, future-state design, and process harmonization for SAP S/4HANA EWM.
Plan and facilitate business design workshops covering process, organization, master data, integration, controls, reporting, roles, and operational readiness.
Frame key design decisions with clear business impacts, trade-offs, risks, dependencies, and recommendations.
Influence business and IT stakeholders to adopt SAP standard functionality and leading warehouse practices in preference to custom solutions unless a justified business or compliance need exists.
Own EWM solution integrity and maintain alignment with the program architecture, Clean Core principles, deployment template, and transformation governance.

Warehouse Process and Functional Design
Design end-to-end inbound, outbound, and internal warehouse processes, including receiving, deconsolidation, putaway, picking, packing, staging, loading, replenishment, posting changes, stock transfers, returns, scrapping, and physical inventory.
Define warehouse structure and master data, including warehouse numbers, storage types, storage sections, bins, activity areas, work centers, doors, staging areas, resources, queues, products, packaging specifications, and handling units.
Design warehouse process types, warehouse tasks and orders, warehouse order creation rules, determination strategies, exception handling, labor considerations, and monitoring requirements.
Apply EWM capabilities such as RF processing, wave management, POSC/LOSC, value-added services, kitting, cartonization, cross-docking, quality inspection integration, and slotting or rearrangement where applicable.
Design operational controls and exception-management practices that support accuracy, safety, throughput, traceability, and timely issue resolution.

MRO, Spare Parts, and Material-Handling Expertise
Design warehouse processes for MRO and spare-parts operations, including high-SKU and low-volume inventory, critical spares, repairable parts, service parts, serialized materials, shelf-life controls, and controlled storage.
Support material issue and return processes for maintenance orders, production orders, projects, and field-service requirements, including staging, consumption, unused material returns, and inventory reconciliation.
Define handling, storage, and picking approaches for varied material profiles such as small parts, bulky items, hazardous or controlled materials, tools, kits, and high-value components.
Design replenishment, cycle counting, stock-status management, stock determination, availability visibility, and urgent or priority fulfillment processes for maintenance and production continuity.
Enable traceability through batch, serial number, handling-unit, stock-type, and document-flow controls as required by operations and compliance.

Integration and Automation
Lead EWM integration with S/4HANA MM, SD, PP, QM, PM/EAM, TM, FI/CO, Product Costing, and master-data processes.
Design integration for procurement receipts, stock transport orders, production supply, maintenance material staging, customer deliveries, returns, quality stock, and inventory postings.
Collaborate with technical and automation teams on RF devices, label printing, scanners, conveyors, ASRS, carousels, robotics, WCS/WES/MFS, and other material-handling systems where in scope.
Define interface requirements, message flows, monitoring, error handling, recovery, reconciliation, security, and support ownership across SAP and non-SAP systems.
Validate end-to-end document and stock consistency between S/4HANA, EWM, shop-floor, maintenance, transportation, and automation solutions.
Delivery, Testing, Migration, and Cutover
Guide EWM configuration and review functional specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, workflows, RF transactions, and labels.
Define data requirements and migration rules for warehouse structures, bins, products, packaging specifications, handling units, resources, stock, open documents, and relevant warehouse master data.
Prepare and execute unit, string, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing; lead defect triage, root-cause analysis, retesting, and closure.
Develop cutover plans covering open-document readiness, stock migration, physical inventory alignment, queue and interface readiness, automation validation, reconciliation, contingency actions, and go-live entry criteria.
Lead deployment readiness, user training, knowledge transfer, command-center support, hypercare, and transition to steady-state operations.

Required Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of SAP EWM project experience across implementation, rollout, migration, enhancement, and production-support environments.
Hands-on delivery experience in at least two SAP S/4HANA transformation programs, with responsibility across design, configuration, integration, testing, cutover, and stabilization.
Deep functional expertise in embedded or decentralized EWM, warehouse organization, inbound, outbound, internal movements, inventory, RF, handling units, warehouse tasks and orders, and exception management.
Demonstrated warehouse process expertise in MRO, spare parts, material handling, maintenance support, manufacturing supply, or comparable complex warehouse operations.
Proven ability to lead fit-to-standard and design workshops, communicate solution options clearly, and drive timely business decisions.
Ability to constructively challenge custom requirements and influence stakeholders toward standard SAP and sustainable best-practice solutions.
Strong integration knowledge across EWM, MM, SD, PP, QM, PM/EAM, TM, FI/CO, and external warehouse or automation systems.
Strong written, verbal, facilitation, presentation, stakeholder-management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Aerospace & Defense, industrial manufacturing, aviation MRO, aftermarket service, high-tech, automotive, or another highly controlled warehouse environment.
Experience with serialized and batch-managed inventory, critical spares, repairable or rotable parts, shelf-life management, quality inspection, traceability, and audit controls.
Exposure to warehouse automation, material-flow systems, RF and mobile solutions, label management, scanners, ASRS, carousels, conveyors, or robotics.
Experience with SAP Activate, Signavio or process modeling, fit-to-standard delivery, Clean Core principles, and global template governance.
SAP EWM or SAP S/4HANA certification and experience working with globally distributed business and delivery teams.
