Job Title: SAP S/4HANA SD/MM Functional Consultant
Location: Ann Arbor, MI (Hybrid 2 3 Days Onsite per Week)
Duration: 3+ Months Contract (Strong Possibility of Extension)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA SD/MM Functional Consultant with strong hands-on configuration expertise in both Sales & Distribution (SD) and Materials Management (MM). The ideal candidate will possess extensive functional knowledge of Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay processes, along with a strong understanding of cross-functional integration within SAP S/4HANA.
This is a business-facing consulting role supporting multiple enhancement initiatives and functional projects rather than a large-scale implementation. The consultant must be comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership.
Required Skills & Qualifications
SAP SD (Sales & Distribution)
  • Hands-on configuration experience in SAP SD
  • Strong expertise in Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes
  • Sales Order Management
  • Delivery Processing
  • Billing & Intercompany Invoicing
  • Returns Management
  • Shipping and Logistics processes
  • Pricing knowledge is preferred
  • Output determination and copy control experience is a plus
SAP MM (Materials Management)

  • Delivery and Billing integration

  • Business process impacts across modules
SAP S/4HANA Experience
  • Hands-on SAP S/4HANA implementation experience
  • Strong understanding of S/4HANA business processes
  • Knowledge of SAP Fiori applications
  • Familiarity with S/4HANA data model changes
  • Experience supporting S/4HANA enhancements and business transformation initiatives
Additional Functional Skills
  • Working knowledge of SAP CRM
  • CRM SD integration experience preferred
  • Experience supporting EDI integrations
  • B2B interface knowledge

  • Ability to prepare Functional Specifications
  • Review interface mapping documents

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and support SAP SD and MM modules within SAP S/4HANA.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into functional solutions.
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis and solution workshops.
  • Design and configure SAP solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Support testing activities including Unit Testing, SIT, and UAT.
  • Prepare functional specifications for reports, interfaces, enhancements, and analytics.
  • Collaborate with technical teams during development and issue resolution.
  • Support SAP integrations with CRM, EDI, and external applications.
  • Work directly with business stakeholders to provide functional guidance and solution recommendations.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing functional support.
  • Manage multiple small initiatives simultaneously while meeting project deadlines.
Required Experience
  • 10 15 years of SAP Functional consulting experience
  • Strong experience across both SAP SD and SAP MM modules
  • Minimum 5 7 years of recent U.S. project experience
  • Proven hands-on SAP configuration experience
  • SAP S/4HANA implementation experience is mandatory
  • Experience supporting analytics and reporting initiatives
  • Experience working in enhancement and support-focused project environments
  • Strong client-facing consulting experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SAP CRM
  • Experience supporting EDI and B2B integrations
  • Knowledge of SAP Fiori
  • Experience working with reporting and analytics requirements
  • Familiarity with integration architecture and middleware
