POSITION OVERVIEW
As part of Ralph Lauren's Next Generation Transformation (NGT) initiative, we are replacing our core operating systems (SAP, Island Pacific, and Microsoft D365) with a unified Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution. This transformation will standardize business operations across Planning, Sourcing and Buying, Retail and Wholesale, Logistics and Distribution, and Finance.
The ERP+ Master Data Lead (SAP Technology) - will play a critical role in managing and optimizing global master data governance, design and deployment during the ERP transition. This role will ensure high-quality master data SAP design and governance, support seamless data migration, and align master data strategies with business transformation objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
Lead global master data design and governance efforts within the ERP transformation program.
Provide expertise in SAP Fashion/Retail master data structures, governance, and optimization. Define and enforce data standards, policies, and best practices for S4 Fashion master data across all business units.
Ensure alignment of master data models with business processes and ERP system capabilities for the enterprise. Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and ERP vendors to drive accurate and consistent master data solutions.
Support data migration initiatives, ensuring seamless data transfer and transformation from legacy systems to SAP S4 Fashion.
Participate in master data cleansing, validation, and enrichment to improve overall data quality and integrity.
Serve as a liaison for master data-related decisions in the Design Authority, ensuring consistency across functional teams.
Develop and implement strategies for ongoing data maintenance, governance, and lifecycle management post-implementation.
Work with upstream IT systems partners to design and build scalable integration to bring required product, vendor and customer master data into SAP S4.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Experience & Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in SAP master data design and governance, with at least 5+ years in SAP S4 Fashion/Retail working with article master, business partners and finance master data.
3+ years of leadership experience, managing master data teams and initiatives.
Experience working closely with business leaders in delivering master data solutions to support Retail/Fashion business processes.
Knowledge of SAP data governance frameworks, tools, and best practices.
Hands-on experience including S4 Fashion expertise in business partners (customer and vendor) finance master data, and article master data.
Experience designing and delivering master data integrations to non-SAP applications utilizing the latest publish/subscribe integration capabilities in an SAP S4 centric solution.
Proven ability to work cross-functionally with business, IT, and external partners.
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical data concepts into business-friendly language.
Experience working in a global organization with multi-region ERP deployments.
Willingness to travel as required to support the global implementation.
