Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA MRP Application Architect to lead the functional design and implementation of a Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) pilot initiative. This role will collaborate closely with supply chain stakeholders to define future-state planning processes while supporting SAP system configuration, documentation, testing, and deployment activities. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SAP MRP and strong experience facilitating cross-functional supply chain planning discussions.
Description
Facilitate on-site and virtual workshops with supply chain stakeholders to define future-state MRP planning processes and system requirements.
Configure SAP MRP functionality including material master settings, bills of materials (BOM), planning strategies, and lot-sizing procedures.
Design and implement MRP planning runs, exception management processes, and inventory optimization strategies.
Ensure integration between MRP and related modules, including procurement, warehouse management, and financial systems.
Develop and execute data migration strategies for planning parameters, material master data, and related planning objects.
Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and pilot cutover activities.
Create detailed functional specifications for system enhancements and configuration updates.
Establish planning governance frameworks and define master data standards to support sustainable planning operations.
Requirements
7+ years of SAP MM/PP experience with a strong focus on MRP planning and configuration.
Deep understanding of key planning strategies including:
Make-to-Stock (MTS)
Make-to-Order (MTO)
Reorder Point Planning
Forecast-Based Planning
Demonstrated experience leading business process design workshops with cross-functional stakeholders.
Experience operating within complex supply chain environments.
Ability and willingness to travel for stakeholder engagement, workshops, and deployment activities.
