Overview

LABUR is partnering with a client to find a service-minded SAP Solution Architect to join their global SAP-IT organization supporting an SAP environment spanning ECC6 on HANA and RISE on AWS. This role supports multiple business areas including Finance/Controlling, Order Management (FI/CO/SD/MM), Product and Customer Master, and IS-Media. As a key contributor and product owner, you will design, implement, test, and deploy scalable solutions across the SAP ecosystem, collaborating with global teams in Finance, Client Support, Contract Management, Product, and Legal to deliver impactful results in a fast-paced, innovative environment. This role follows a hybrid work arrangement in Denver, with remote consideration for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Own the full systems development lifecycle-from requirements gathering through design, configuration, testing, and deployment of SAP solutions across FI/CO/SD/MM, including ABAP development and integrations (APIs, IDocs, middleware such as SAP BTP/CPI) between SAP and non-SAP enterprise applications.
• Manage system maintenance (BASIS) tasks such as system refreshes, client copies, Note application, certificate management, job scheduling, system monitoring, performance tuning, and user access and security administration.
• Partner with business leadership and stakeholders to shape new initiatives, define clear requirements and sound solution strategies aligned with business goals and SAP standard functionality, and drive implementation of new features.
• Define test strategy and standards for SAP changes across modules and integration points; document test cases and lead end-to-end, system integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing, including creation and management of test data.
• Diagnose, document, and track defects using tools such as JIRA, collaborating with business and development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain detailed system architecture documentation, provide status reporting to project teams and stakeholders, and stay current with SAP updates and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a background in the financial management of order processes; Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years of hands-on SAP development and configuration, with strong knowledge of SAP architecture, Finance/Controlling, Order Management (FI/CO/SD/MM) on ECC 6.0, BASIS, system upgrades, and data infrastructure.
• Hands-on ABAP development experience (reports, enhancements, interfaces, debugging) and proven ability to build integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems using APIs, IDocs, and middleware such as SAP BTP/CPI.
• Demonstrated experience leading change management for a system implementation, migration, or platform upgrade such as S/4HANA.
• Strong business analysis, process mapping, and business process redesign skills with a focus on promoting best practices.
• Effective project management capabilities across the full implementation lifecycle, with the ability to translate business process requirements into scalable SAP configuration and solution strategies.
• Service-minded and collaborative, with experience working effectively across cross-functional global teams and stakeholders.
• Preferred: SAP certifications, S/4HANA project exposure, and familiarity with integrated platforms such as Salesforce, OneStream, Snowflake, and Vertex.

Compensation

150k - 160k/yr depending on fit/experience
