Integration Architecture & Design
- Design end-to-end integration solutions across SAP and non-SAP landscapes, covering both B2B and A2A use cases.
- Define architecture patterns for EDI, API-led, event-driven, and hybrid integration scenarios.
- Establish reusable integration patterns, canonical models, and solution blueprints aligned with enterprise standards.
- Lead solution design discussions and provide architectural direction during workshops and blueprinting sessions.
B2B / EDI Enablement
- Design and implement B2B integrations using SAP BTP capabilities, including Trading Partner Management (TPM) and Integration Advisor.
- Enable EDI integrations supporting standards such as ANSI X12 and EDIFACT, along with common transaction sets (e.g., 850, 810, 856).
- Oversee trading partner onboarding, communication setup (AS2, SFTP), and compliance requirements.
Technical Delivery
- Implement integration solutions using SAP Integration Suite components, including Cloud Integration, API Management, and Open Connectors.
- Design and develop reusable iFlows, APIs, and integration components following best practices.
- Enable connectivity across SAP solutions (S/4HANA, ECC, Ariba, SuccessFactors) and external platforms.
- Support event-driven and asynchronous integration scenarios using event mesh and messaging frameworks.
Delivery & Stakeholder Management
- Drive end-to-end delivery across all phases, including design, build, testing, and hypercare.
- Translate business requirements into scalable and sustainable integration solutions.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, and external partners.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to integration development teams.
Governance & Strategy
- Define and enforce integration standards, governance models, and security practices.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security protocols, including OAuth, SAML, and SSL/TLS.
- Contribute to integration roadmap planning, including migration from legacy platforms such as SAP PI/PO to SAP BTP Integration Suite.
- Promote adoption of best practices, including DevOps and CI/CD for integration development.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite, including Cloud Integration and API Management
- Proven expertise in Trading Partner Management (TPM) and Integration Advisor
- Solid understanding of EDI standards, IDoc, XML, and JSON
- Experience across B2B, A2A, API-based, and event-driven integration patterns
- Familiarity with integration protocols such as AS2, SFTP, REST, and SOAP
- Good understanding of SAP system integrations and hybrid architectures
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience in integration technologies
- At least 5 years in a Solution Architect role
- Experience in consulting or client-facing delivery environments
- Bachelor's and/or master's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- SAP Integration Suite certification is preferred
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
