Thinking Minds' client is seeking a Senior SAP Functional Analyst - Transportation Management (TM) to support and enhance enterprise-wide SAP TM solutions. This role focuses on configuration, integration, and continuous improvement of transportation and logistics processes across a growing, multi-site organization. The position plays a key role in SAP implementations, upgrades, and integration of non-SAP systems while partnering closely with business and IT stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Should Have

Strong hands-on experience with SAP Transportation Management (TM)

Expertise in Freight Planning, Load Building, and Carrier Management

Experience supporting large-scale SAP ERP implementations

Solid understanding of SAP integration with FI/CO, MM, SD, and WM

Ability to translate complex business needs into scalable SAP solutions

Role Overview

The Senior SAP TM Functional Analyst will be responsible for designing, configuring, and delivering SAP Transportation Management solutions that support logistics and supply chain operations. This role is heavily involved in blueprinting, requirement analysis, testing, and go-live support, ensuring SAP TM solutions align with lean business processes and industry best practices.

The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional IT teams, data integration partners, and business subject matter experts to deliver automated, reliable, and scalable transportation solutions. This role also supports SAP-driven initiatives related to mergers, acquisitions, system upgrades, and enterprise integrations.

Key Responsibilities

Configure and support SAP Transportation Management (TM) modules

Act as subject matter expert for Freight Planning (road, rail, ocean, air), Load Building, Freight Units, Freight Orders, Freight Forwarding, Carrier Determination, Tendering, and Freight Agreements

Lead and participate in blueprinting sessions to define scope, gather requirements, and design SAP TM solutions

Develop and document functional specifications for enhancements, interfaces, reports, and workflows

Manage and execute unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing

Collaborate with IT teams including Applications, SAP Basis, Security, Data Integration, and Architecture

Support end users by resolving TM-related process and system issues

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, training materials, and process documentation

Support multiple SAP initiatives concurrently while meeting project milestones

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or equivalent experience

5+ years of experience working with SAP Transportation Management

Experience supporting at least one large-scale SAP ERP implementation

Strong knowledge of TM concepts and methodologies, including:

Freight Planning & Tendering

Lane, Zone, and Route Development

BOBF, PPF, ATP

Hands-on experience with SAP TM configuration

Strong understanding of SAP integration with FI/CO, MM, SD, and WM

Experience with SAP ECC 6.0 and/or S/4HANA
