Title: Saratoga Summer Staff Employee Status: Seasonal Full Time Work From Home Option: Not Applicable FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Overview: The Saratoga General Maintenance position involves performing various outdoor tasks essential to maintaining a clean, safe, functional barn area and venue. Responsibilities include landscaping duties, barn and stable grounds maintenance, and the set-up and strike of race day events. The ideal candidate should be a team player, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and comfortable with all weather, hands-on tasks, requiring physical effort.

Essential Functions: Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Raking leaves and debris
  • Mowing lawns and grass areas
  • Event set-up and tear-down
  • Barn area and stable grounds maintenance
  • String trimming and edging
  • Garbage and waste removal
  • Flower planting and garden care

Qualifications:

  • Must be 16 years of age or older with valid working papers
  • Ability to become licensed by the NY State Gaming Commission
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
  • Enthusiastic with the ability to work in a diverse and fast paced environment
  • Team Player

Summary of Physical Requirements and Work Environment: This is a physical role and requires the employee to walk, climb, stand, stoop, carry materials, kneel and bend at the waist. The ability to lift over 50 lbs may be required.

Pay Range / Salary: $18.50/hour
