SATCOM Test Engineer / Sr. Systems Engineer

Summary

T2S Solutions currently has an opening for an experienced SATCOM Test Engineer to join the Protected Tactical Waveform (PTW) Conformance Team. This role focuses on developing operational use cases, executing test procedures, integrating test equipment, and collaborating with mission partners to ensure waveform compliance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience requirements

• Recent and relevant experience directly supporting the Protected Anti-Jam Tactical SATCOM (PATS) enterprise and/or Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) certification preferred but recent graduates with an IT/CS/Engineering degree will be considered
• Travel: 25%

Required

• Experience in SATCOM Terminal and SATCOM Modem operations
• Strong background in IP networking fundamentals
• Experienced in capturing, analyzing, and evaluating network packet traffic using industry-standard test sets
• Ability to draft formal test plans, procedures, and comprehensive final test reports
• Experience with test equipment including Spectrum analyzers, power meters, signal generators, noise test sets, and Fireberds from L-band to 40 GHz range
• Experience with Visio or like diagramming and vector graphics applications
• Experience briefing complex technical results, test data, and status updates directly to government program leadership and industry stakeholders
• Have and maintain an active DoD SECRET clearance

Preferred

• SATCOM Terminal and SATCOM Modem testing and evaluation experience
• Expertise in establishment of test and evaluation criteria and requirements
• Expertise in developing test plans and procedures in support of equipment evaluation
• SATCOM/RF experience in WGS and/or PATS
• Working at a Teleport, STEP, SATCOM or commercial site
• Expertise in use of Microsoft Excel functions and graphing capabilities
• Ability to read, interpret, and write test scripts using Python and JSON data structures

Compensation: 150-175k / DOE
