Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Sauté\Grill Cook with a background in high-volume, scratchkitchens. This role is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, takes pride in consistency, and has a passion for Italian cuisine.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute sauté station dishes including pasta, sauces, and entrées
- Control cooking temperatures and timing to ensure quality and consistency
- Prepare all food prep required for the station
- Manage multiple orders in a high-volume environment
- Coordinate with other kitchen stations for efficient service
- Plate dishes according to restaurant standards
- Maintain proper mise en place and station readiness
- Monitor inventory and restock station as needed
- Follow all recipes, food safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen
- Strong understanding of sauté techniques and professional cooking methods
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for long periods (8+ hours)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Availability to work weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
