Job Duties:
  • Checks in and receives purchase orders, comparing packing lists to purchase order for accuracy before receiving into computer. Adds received information to Daily Receiving Log including PO #, Vendor Name, Carrier, BOL #, number of pallets or pieces, person who received, person who checked order in for accuracy, and noting any problems or damages.
  • Compiles problem reports and disseminates to appropriate departments and physically verify shortages, overages, and/or damages as well as communicating problems with management team.
  • Compiles, copies, sorts, posts, and files (hard copy and electronically to computer network and file folders) purchase orders, transfers and other documents, as needed.
  • Deletes existing transfers in order to create new transfers from pallet lists to combine multiple POs on one or more pallets. Picks items in computer to be transferred and prints two shipped copies, (one to ship with merchandise and other to be filed with original request copies and/or receiving paperwork). All lists numbers, transfer , pulled by, receiving store, picked by, truck #, ship date, transfer total, and description of items on transfers are to be logged on the Transfer Log List spreadsheet (Blind Receiving spreadsheet).
  • Assists in maintaining filing systems to enable other staff members to locate specific documents such as receiving paperwork and transfers quickly and easily.
  • Operates office machines such as computers, fax machines, scanners, various printers/copiers, and calculator.
  • Assists in scheduling incoming containers (includes locating and printing delivery orders, packing lists and PO copies in order to have paperwork ready for arrival of goods) Scheduled containers are put on the Container Receiving Log ASAP so transfers can be put in at the office.
  • Answers phones with superb customer service skills to direct calls, schedule appointments, or help locate items other stores or customers may need.
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager in the day to day operational activities. Must be able to lead, plan and direct the actions of all employees including the opening and closing of the warehouse, being flexible enough to cover any area that may be lacking in personnel, establish and build relationships with all staff while proactively participating and recommending improvements to Warehouse Manager all while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and personal integrity.
  • Ability to respond as needed when an after-hours alarm goes off at the warehouse location; meeting and speaking with local law enforcement to permit an investigation and secure the property.
  • Schedule Trucks and containers for delivery to and from the warehouse and resolve any issues with freight companies that arise while manager is away
  • Monitor negative on hand and inventory on a daily basis making correct
  • Research any store inventory issues that may arise
  • Review transfer report daily check for hot reds etc
  • Order office Supplies and any other supplies (pallets, cardboard etc.) as needed when manager is away
  • Enforces procedure, work schedules, and expedites workflow daily
  • Provides input to management regarding personnel issues daily
  • Assist with Company safety program and employee training.
  • Operate Raymond and forklift daily as needed
  • Any and all other duties assigned by management
Qualifications for the position:
  • High School Diploma/ GED.
  • One year related experience
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Requires exceptional customer service skills
  • Experience with Adobe, POS systems, and google
  • Knowledge of agricultural equipment, parts and supplies either by educational program or practical use preferred.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize work are necessary.
