Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
Job Type:  Temp-to-Hire, Full-Time
Shift: 1st | Mon-Fri | 6am-4:30pm

Saw Operator description:

The Saw Operator is responsible for cutting raw materials (metal, wood, or composite materials) to precise specifications used in the production of retail fixtures, cabinetry, and store equipment. This role plays a key part in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate industrial saws (band saw, table saw, panel saw, or cold saw) to cut materials to required dimensions 
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and cut lists 
• Measure and mark materials using tape measures, calipers, and gauges 
• Load, position, and secure materials prior to cutting 
• Inspect materials and finished cuts to ensure accuracy and quality standards 
• Maintain proper material flow to support production schedules 
• Perform basic machine setup and adjustments 
• Conduct routine maintenance such as blade changes and cleaning 
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements 
• Work closely with fabrication, welding, and assembly teams 

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED 
• Ability to read a tape measure and follow detailed specifications 
• Familiarity with blueprints or technical drawings 
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy 
• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and stand for extended periods
