Saw Operator

Overview:

**This position is located in Park City, KS.

 

 The Saw Operator will identify, issue, and saw material per work order instructions.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

• Interpret work order instructions to prepare material for cutting.
• Follow procedures for proper inspection of material and cut size.
• Cut and issue material per work order instructions.      
• Tag material with work order number, count, and next operation using proper color code tags.   
• Stage material for shipping using proper shipping guidelines.
• Keep work areas and machinery clean and maintained.                                                                                  
• Train and use proper lifting equipment (forklift) when handling material.
• Constant focus on safely operating machinery and handling of material.         
• Understand proper operating procedures for Hem saw, chop saw, band saw, and Kasto.
• Update AX lot notes with all material changes.
• Transfer remaining material back to inventory locations.                                                                           

Qualifications:

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic computer skills, read written directions, take verbal instructions, able to use measuring devices, and basic math skills.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Shop environment, use of proper PPE including gloves, eye protection, and hearing protection required. 50 lb. lifting limit.
