Pay: $19.00 per hourSchedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM, plus every other Saturday from 6:00 AM-10:00 AM

Penmac Staffing is seeking an experienced Saw Shop Operator for a physically demanding production role in a pallet repair facility. This position is ideal for candidates with construction, lumber, carpentry, warehouse, or manufacturing experience who enjoy hands-on work and operating power tools in a fast-paced environment. The Saw Shop Operator is responsible for cutting and preparing lumber used in pallet repair while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards.
Requirements for the Saw Shop  Operator

• Previous construction or saw operation experience required
• Experience in lumber, carpentry, roofing, landscaping, warehousing, logistics, or pallet repair preferred
• Comfortable operating band saws, trim track saws, chop saws, and related equipment
• Ability to repeatedly lift 50-75 pounds
• Ability to stand throughout the shift and frequently bend, stoop, walk, turn, and pivot
• Strong hand-eye-foot coordination and balance
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions
• Willingness to work overtime when needed
• Ability to pass a drug screening in accordance with applicable laws 

Saw Shop Operator Responsibilities

• Tear down wooden pallets using a band saw
• Cut boards to the correct length using a trim track saw
• Cut wooden blocks for pallet repairs using a chop saw
• Set up and operate power saws safely and accurately
• Inspect cut materials to ensure quality specifications are met
• Maintain productivity while producing accurate work
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and regulations
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards

Work EnvironmentThis position may involve exposure to heat, cold, outdoor conditions, airborne particles, and varying noise levels. Required personal protective equipment may include safety shoes, eye protection, and hearing protection. The Saw Shop Operator role requires close, distance, and color vision.
