Description for Sawyer:
- Setup and operate industrial production band saws to cut structural steel beams to specifications.
- Load and position heavy, long industrial steel materials onto cutting tables safely.
- Utilize tape measures and precision tools to check cut pieces for absolute tolerance conformity.
- Apply shop math skills to ensure accurate length yields and minimize raw material waste.
- Perform routine blade changes, clear metal shavings, and follow strict facility safety guidelines.
Details for Sawyer:
- Pay Range: $20.00 – $26.00 / hour (DOE).
- Schedule: Monday – Friday | Swing Shift: 5:30 PM – 2:00 AM (Overtime required).
- Position Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire.
Requirements for Sawyer:
- Prior verifiable experience working specifically as a metal saw operator or industrial sawyer required.
- Sharp attention to detail with proven ability to read a tape measure and use layout math.
- Ability to safely handle heavy manual shop labor and lift 50–75 lbs without assistance.
- Must supply and wear steel-toed boots daily on the active production floor.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
