East West Bank gives people the confidence to reach further.OverviewEast West Bank is currently seeking a SBA Business Development Manager. This position is responsible for marketing a full range of banking services to SBA loan-eligible businesses with emphasis on client contact, origination, and underwriting. The incumbent will work directly with customers to provide more complex loans associated with the SBA and other federal or state government loan guarantee programs.ResponsibilitiesGenerate new business through prospecting, outside calling, networking, and referrals. Make a substantial number of outside, in-person calls on prospects and clients, requiring extensive automobile travel.Foster new and expand existing customer relationships through cross-selling products and services.Develop and maintain a referral source database for local and overall SBA marketing purposes.Maintain a thorough understanding of the bank's credit policy, SBA eligibility, and all necessary business practices to ensure accurate and complete loan application submissions.Participate in local SBA district functions within the assigned marketing area.Provide management with input regarding current policies and practices.Assist in promoting all product lines offered in the assigned market.Generate loans that maintain acceptable performance levels. Assist special assets and credit services as needed within the marketing area.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field; MBA preferred.4-6 years of progressive selling experience.Good understanding of financial institution departments and activities.Excellent customer service via phone and email.High energy level with the ability to sell to customer needs.Ability to close sales, prospect, and plan sales strategies.Excellent communication and organizational skills.This position is eligible to participate in the current SBA Business Development Officer Incentive Compensation Plan.CompensationThe base pay range for this position is USD $65,000.00 to USD $80,000.00 per year.
