Make a difference - for us and for your future.Position Title: SBA Construction Loan RepresentativeBusiness Unit: Commercial BankingReports to: SBA Construction Loan ManagerPosition Overview:This position is primarily responsible for providing construction management, funding and disbursement services for all SBA Construction loans.Primary Responsibilities:Recommends Approval or Declination of contractor and construction project. Funds construction and multi-disbursement loans according to Bank and SBA regulations.Collects and reviews all closing documents related to construction financing under the SBA 7a, SBA 504 and USDA loan programs. Reviews and approves contractor's financials and qualifications.Prepares and handles the construction loan closing checklist and works with borrowers, contractors, architects and Bank partners to complete closing documents. Ensures loan complies with SBA/USDA Standard Operating Procedures.Coordinates with the Business Development Officer and Underwriter in structuring loans involving construction and preparing the loan package construction checklist for submission.Educates existing and new Business Development Officers on how to structure loans involving different levels of construction. Performs research activities including gathering information on construction laws and regulations in the city and state of the prospective construction project.Works with third party vendors for cost review. Orders commercial appraisal reports and environmental reports.
