POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for supervising, managing, and coordinating the instructional staff across didactic, laboratory, and clinical phases of the Blood Banking Specialist (SBB) program. Ensures program organization, development, continuous improvement, and compliance with accreditation standards. Maintains communication with accreditation bodies and advisory committees, monitors student progress, updates curriculum, and prepares annual reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Includes student selection, accreditation communication, overseeing student progress, curriculum updates, advisory committee meetings, and ensuring quality standards are met.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
Requires current SBB certification, experience in immunohematology and hemotherapy, ongoing education, strong organizational and communication skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING CONDITIONS:
Ability to work with laboratory equipment/instruments.
