Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Advanced Metering Maintenance Electrician to join our team! In this role you will get to take your career to the next level by installing and maintaining cutting-edge smart metering systems and network infrastructure, where your technical expertise will power smarter, safer, and more efficient energy solutions for our clients.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Install and wire advanced smart meters according to project specifications and safety standards.

  • Install and wire current transformers for accurate energy measurement.

  • Install and wire network devices to enable smart meter communication.

  • Install communication cabling and conduit for metering and network systems.

  • Perform routine and corrective maintenance on advanced metering systems.

  • Test and verify proper operation of installed equipment and systems utilizing industry standard testing tools and computer software applications.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with metering and communication devices.

  • Document installation, maintenance, and repair activities accurately.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in the electrical construction industry
    Construction, safety, and quality training/certifications a plus.

  • MS Office experience and computer proficiency required.

  • Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Must be willing to travel 100% throughout the United States and its territories.

  • Must be willing to work overtime when required.

  • Valid driver license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check required.

  • Must have, or be able to obtain, a satisfactory DOT medical examination.

  • Must be able to pass a preemployment drug test.

  • Must be able to meet customer security requirements (moderate to high risk).


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience with advanced smart meters, current transformers, and network devices.

  • Knowledge of communication cabling, conduit installation, and network infrastructure.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in installation and maintenance tasks.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with project teams.

  • Ability to document work activities and maintain accurate records using MS Office and other similar applications.
