Under the general direction of the Public Utilities Director performs highly responsible administrative and professional work managing all activities of the Utilities SCADA function. Manages and provides direction and leadership to the Utilities Department in carrying out its assigned function of providing SCADA expertise in the planning, design, construction and maintenance for all utilities SCADA infrastructure improvements as well as for repair and maintenance of existing infrastructure. This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Responsibilities and Reporting During an Emergency Situation:
Essential Employees may be required to work during a declared emergency. Depending on the nature of the emergency, this may require working around the clock for several days on short notice.
Non-Essential Employees will not be required to work during a declared emergency. The employee's Department Head will determine when the employee will be required to work.

A Journeymans Electrical Card,
An accredited certification in Electrical Instrumentation or Industrial Control Systems.
Must possess a valid state drivers license and obtain a valid Florida drivers license within thirty (30) days of hire or promotion.
