SCADA Controls Manager I / II – Utility-Scale Solar

Overview
We are seeking a SCADA Controls Manager to support the execution of utility-scale solar projects across the United States.
This is a high-impact, multi-project role where you will oversee SCADA systems, controls architecture, and plant monitoring across a portfolio of projects. You’ll work at the intersection of engineering, construction, and commissioning, ensuring systems are properly designed, integrated, and performing in the field.
This is an opportunity to step into a portfolio-level role with visibility across multiple large-scale energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee SCADA systems and controls architecture across multiple solar projects
- Review and provide input on third-party system designs and integrations
- Support commissioning, testing, and system startup activities
- Troubleshoot SCADA, communications, and controls issues in the field
- Coordinate across engineering, construction, and vendor teams
- Ensure compliance with utility interconnection and performance requirements
- Act as a technical resource across 6–12 concurrent projects
Qualifications
SCADA Controls Manager I
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with SCADA systems, controls, or electrical systems in infrastructure or energy projects
- Exposure to commissioning, system integration, or construction environments
SCADA Controls Manager II
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of experience in construction, commissioning, or controls/SCADA systems
- Strong experience supporting complex infrastructure or energy projects
Preferred Experience
- Utility-scale solar or power generation projects
- PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems
- Networking and communications systems (fiber, protocols, integration)
- Commissioning and startup of electrical or control systems
- Experience working with EPC contractors or commissioning firms
