Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of SCADA Programmer. Youre a problem-solver whos equally comfortable writing code and getting hands-on with hardware. You thrive on keeping complex, interconnected systems running smoothly, whether that means programming a new SCADA application, troubleshooting a network connection, or tracking down the source of a PLC fault. You take ownership of the systems you support, documenting your work carefully and backing up what matters because you know Gilberts water and wastewater infrastructure depends on it. Youre equally at home collaborating with your team and working independently to see a project through from design to deployment.

Do you have an Associates degree, a two-year technical certification, or an equivalent combination of experience and training?

Do you have five or more years of experience in system programming, networking, and database operations, including experience with a computerized monitoring system comparable to SCADA, HMI, or PLCs?

Do you hold, or are you able to obtain within one year of hire, an ADEQ Grade I Water Distribution or Wastewater Collections certification?

How would you rate your experience programming and supporting SCADA platforms (such as Wonderware System Platform or Rockwell PlantPax) and programmable logic controllers, or PLCs (such as Studio 5000, RSLogix 500/5000, or RSView)?

How would you rate your experience configuring and supporting industrial or SCADA networks, including managed switches and routers (such as Cisco, Stratix, or Ruggedcom), long-range IP/Ethernet or 900 MHz radios, and fiber optics?

How would you rate your experience administering SQL databases, Windows servers, data backup systems, and virtualized environments (such as VMware or Nutanix)?

Tell us about a time a critical system went down and you had to troubleshoot under pressure. How did you diagnose the problem, and how did you communicate with the people affected?
