Our Client, a Banking company, is looking for a Scala Spark Developer for their Toronto, ON/ Hybrid location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • The Scala Spark Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data processing solutions to support Liquidity MRA reporting, analytics, and data quality controls.
  • Develop, enhance, unit test and optimize data pipelines using Scala and Apache Spark.
  • Implement transformations, aggregations, and calculations required for liquidity reporting.
  • Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of large-scale data processing jobs.
  • Integrate data from multiple source systems (e.g., transactional, risk, financial data).
  • Apply data validation, reconciliation, and error-handling mechanisms.
  • Support deployment, code reviews, and production issue resolution.
 
Requirements:
  • Years of Overall Experience: 5 to 10 years experience would be ideal
  • Banking preferred
  • Regulatory reporting in banking preferred
  • Liquidity reporting preferred
  • Scala Spark exp
  • Adhere to Client SDLC enterprise development standards, security, and governance policies.
  • Scala Spark developer experience – at least 5 years
  • Strong communication skills
  • Banking/Regulatory reporting in Banking
  • Liquidity reporting
