Scale Attendant

LeMay, a Waste Connections Company, is looking for a Scale Attendant to join the team at our location in Aberdeen, WA .


The schedule for this position will be Tuesday through Saturday; 8 am to 5 pm. Starting pay will be $19.50 per hour with yearly pay raises.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


+ Solicit sale of new or additional services.

+ Greet and direct all customers and employees upon entry of the transfer station as a cashier

+ Responsible for balancing out a cash drawer and reconciling a Credit Card Machine.

+ Weighing trucks in and out and calculating payments for customers.

+ Track weight information from scale to computer system and get appropriate signatures.

+ Ensuring that incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material.

+ Work on your feet outside throughout your shift

+ Providing general upkeep of the Scale House.


MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:


+ Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.

+ Ability to speak Spanish is preferred but not required.

+ 2 years of Customer Service experience.

+ Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Email _preferred_ . Typing and 10-key skills are required.

+ Excellent organization and communication skills.

+ Ability to analyze and solve problems. Gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.

+ Ability to multi-task

+ Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
