Scale House AttendantHours: 5:50am - 3:30pmJob SummaryServes as the first point of contact for customers depositing waste at our facility. Responsible for calculating payments, inspecting loads, and ensuring safety compliance for all customers and employees through observation of safety rules and regulations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Greet customers, direct traffic flow, and provide accurate information and assistance
Calculate and process customer payments accurately
Inspect incoming loads to ensure safety and verify no prohibited materials are present
Monitor and enforce safety protocols, ensuring all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Scale House
Complete administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and required reports
Keep supervisor informed of all issues requiring attention
Attend company-sponsored training and meetings as directed
Work overtime as needed
Perform additional duties as assigned, including customer service responsibilities
Maintain a friendly, service-oriented approach with all employees, customers, and vendors
QualificationsRequired:
High school diploma or G.E.D.
1+ years of previous experience
Preferred:
High school diploma or G.E.D. with additional or specialized training
Previous customer service or cash handling experience
Work Environment
Scale house setting with exposure to outdoor elements
Occasional exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes
Occasional lifting of objects up to 30 pounds
Occasional exposure to occupational hazards (cuts, burns, chemical exposure)
