Minimum Education Requirements: Any equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training sufficient to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities is acceptable. High School Diploma is the minimum requirement
Direct Supervisor: Clerk of Circuit Court
Primary Work Location: Office setting
Physical Requirements: This is sedentary work requiring the exertion of up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects. Regular required tasks include sitting; talking or hearing, in-person; using hands to handle or operate standard office equipment; and reaching with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk, bend, kneel, and stand; in addition, use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information and documents; analyze and solve problems; observe and interpret people and situations; use math and mathematical reasoning; learn and apply new information or skills.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Summary: This employee is part of the Clerk's office final review of all filings to ensure that the online permanent records are complete before the paper filings are destroyed. An understanding or learning of proper Circuit Court case management flow and parts will need to be achieved in a short time. Position will not exceed 28 hours per week.
Essential Job Functions: All duties of the Scan Team Technician are essential functions. There are no supervisory skills required, however they may be tasked with teaching other part-time employees the needed skills to review case information for proper entry in a multitude of state computer systems.
Serves as a support technician for Clerk's office
Review electronic modern and historic paper filed court cases for accuracy of imaging
Ensures that names, filing types and other court requirements are correct in the online systems
Reviews quality of imaged items and replaces with new version if issues are discovered
Works with circuit court staff to gain knowledge of filing protocols and retain that information for future use
Work independently with minimal supervision
Focus even when tasks are repetitive
Knowledge: Strong ability to learn state computer systems for case setup and imaging
Knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, and instruments of the court is helpful
Skills: Effective oral and writing communication skills
Must be an accurate, fluent typist able to prepare documents and transfer data into digital files
Abilities: Ability to deal with situations requiring tact, diplomacy, fairness, and good judgment
Ability to take necessary actions and maintain and establish an effective working relationship with public, officials, judges, attorneys, and other agencies using both oral and writing skills
