Job Summary
A large format scan operator digitizes oversized physical documents—such as architectural blueprints, engineering drawings, maps, and historical posters—using specialized wide-feed or flatbed scanning equipment
Job Responsibilities
• Document Preparation: Inspect, clean, and gently handle delicate, fragile, or aged oversized paper files before feeding them into equipment.
• Equipment Operation: Set up and run high-speed, wide-format scanners (handling documents larger than standard 11′′x17′′ sizes).
• Quality Control: Adjust settings like resolution (DPI), color/grayscale levels, auto-deskew, and cropping to ensure crisp digital images.
• Indexing and Metadata: Name, categorize, and tag digital files according to strict client or project requirements for easy archiving and retrieval.
• Maintenance: Perform routine daily cleaning, calibration, and basic troubleshooting of scanner hardware and software.
