Job Title: Scanning Operator Level 2
Location: Portland, OR
Job Type: Hourly Consultant
Hours: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Friday
Pay: $21.00 to $26.00 per hour
Essential Functions:
Support day-to-day operations within a Digital Imaging Center, with a focus on digital imaging, scanning, and related services.
Prepare customer documents for the digital imaging process, including reviewing physical documents for quality issues that may affect scanning.
Prepare a wide variety of document types and conditions for scanning.
Operate scanning and imaging equipment and move between machines as needed based on document type and project requirements.
Index scanned images according to customer- or leadership-defined naming conventions.
Perform additional post-imaging services as required.
Ensure customer orders are completed accurately and in accordance with contractual service level agreements (SLAs).
Handle and manage large volumes of individual documents carefully and efficiently.
Identify issues, determine appropriate solutions, and prioritize work to meet deadlines and business requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Skills:
Strong data entry skills with excellent typing speed and accuracy.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data-entry applications.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive documents.
Ability to stay focused and productive while managing repetitive, detail-oriented tasks.
Strong planning, organization, execution, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to assess issues, identify causes, and prioritize and implement solutions.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, adaptable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to learn new processes and technologies and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a customer service environment.
Experience with data entry, document processing, office administration, or similar operational work preferred.
Experience as a Data Entry Operator, Office Clerk, Scanning Operator, or in a Digital Imaging environment is an asset.
Experience working effectively under deadlines and managing high volumes of documents.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Physical/Mental Requirements:
Minimal to moderate physical effort required, including moving boxes and loading paper into scanning equipment.
Finger dexterity required for document preparation, scanning, and equipment operation.
Ability to perform tasks requiring frequent movement between machines and work areas.
Strong problem-solving ability, information comprehension, mental acuity, and attention to detail required.
Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
