    Description

    AmeriCorps member will support the Wildlife Program at the Bureau of Land Management Royal Gorge Field Office during the field season by assisting with wildlife research, monitoring, and inventory projects on public lands. The member will conduct field surveys of wildlife and vegetation, identify and classify species, and collect and record ecological data in treatment and control sites. Responsibilities include assisting with bird and sensitive species surveys, locating and monitoring nests, documenting observations, and maintaining databases of species locations and activity. The member will gain experience in study design, field data collection, data management, analysis, and communicating findings that inform species and habitat management decisions.
