Job Description:

Project Scheduler

Location: Atlanta, Georgia (onsite 1-2 days week)

Employment Type: Rolling Contract

Role Overview

We are seeking a Project Scheduler to provide critical scheduling support for Thermal and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, updating, and maintaining detailed project schedules using Primavera P6. This role requires an individual who can operate independently, analyze scheduling logic, and collaborate effectively with internal leadership and other vendors in a heavy industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and maintain detailed CPM schedules for projects, maintenance, and operations.
  • Analyze scheduling logic, validate dependencies, and proactively identify risks and issues.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to gather status updates.
  • Monitor progress against established timelines and identify potential delays or conflicts.
  • Prepare and distribute schedule reports, forecasts, and performance metrics.
  • Support resource planning and workload balancing to optimize efficiency.
  • Participate in project meetings to review progress and discuss schedule impacts.
  • Work alongside other vendors in a collaborative environment, taking direction from internal leadership.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project scheduling/controls (ideally within a heavy industrial setting).
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Primavera P6, including CPM schedule development and analysis of scheduling logic.
  • Experience supporting multiple projects or sites concurrently.
  • Proven background in EPC (engineering, procurement, construction, and startup) projects.
  • Working knowledge of multiple contract methodologies.
  • Experience with construction scheduling and a firm understanding of activity sequencing and the construction lifecycle.

Industry Experience:

  • Experience in Combined Cycle / Thermal power generation is highly prioritized.
  • Experience in BESS (battery storage), Solar, or Oil & Gas is also considered.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to question inconsistencies in schedules.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to operate independently and require minimal training.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry experience (combined cycle, thermal, solar, battery storage/BESS)
  • Familiarity with Acumen Fuse.
