Job Description

The Surgical Scheduler is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the patient's perioperative experience. Scheduling is completed in a compassionate, professional, ethical, and knowledgeable fashion, in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. The Surgical Scheduler is expected to follow the surgical scheduling process to ensure patient safety. This position works closely with the entire multidisciplinary team and must have a complete understanding of their own limitations and, in turn, seek advice, judgment, and support from others when necessary.

Position Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma/GED

  • EPIC
  • 2 years of scheduling experience
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to set priorities
  • Flexible and able to adapt to change
  • Bilingual (Spanish) abilities highly desirable
