- UT Health Tyler is the flagship hospital of the system serving hundreds of thousands annually. Specializing in advanced acute care medicine, our midtown location boasts a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, the region’s only EMCO program and a Level III NICU. Our medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.
Responsibilities:
- Makes and schedules appointment for procedures and surgeries for patients in an efficient and timely manner.
- Verifies and pre-certifies insurance coverage for surgical procedures.
- Coordinates day surgeries within main surgery department.
- Maintain productivity logs for department director.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Two (2) to three (3) years of work experience in a medical office setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical scheduling
