Your greatest work is ahead.

Leidos Defense Sector is seeking an experienced Scheduler to support the Ground-Based Radar (GBR) Digitization Program, a major modernization initiative enhancing the nation's missile warning, missile defense, and space domain awareness capabilities.

Misson Overview

In this role, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of schedules associated with the modernization of legacy radar systems across eight Ground-Based Radar sites. These radar systems provide continuous surveillance, detection, tracking, and reporting of missile and satellite activity in support of Missile Warning (MW), Missile Defense (MD), and Space Domain Awareness (SDA) missions.

The GBR Digitization Program is transforming these systems by implementing a common digital backend architecture and modernizing radar front-end systems to achieve maximum standardization and improved mission readiness across the enterprise.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Integrated Master Scheduling - Develop, maintain, and analyze Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) supporting modernization activities across all eight GBR sites.

  • Cross‑Functional Integration - Build schedules that integrate engineering, software development, hardware modernization, logistics, cybersecurity, test and evaluation, and deployment activities.

  • Critical Path & Logic Analysis - Establish and maintain schedule logic, identify critical path activities, and analyze schedule performance to ensure alignment with program objectives and contractual requirements.

  • Risk & Impact Assessment - Evaluate schedule impacts from program changes, assess risks and opportunities, and recommend mitigation strategies to maintain execution performance.

  • Program Reporting - Generate schedule metrics, performance analyses, and status reports for monthly reviews, IBRs, PMRs, customer briefings, and other program management activities.

  • Forecasting & Scenario Modeling - Collaborate with technical and program leadership to develop forecasting models, identify dependencies, and implement scheduling best practices.

  • Stakeholder Coordination - Work across geographically dispersed teams, subcontractors, and government stakeholders to provide visibility into program execution and support informed decision-making.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Operations Management, Mathematics, or related field and 8+ years of relevant experience (additional experience, training, or certifications may substitute for degree).

  • US Citizen; Currently possesses an Active Secret Clearance.

  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) using tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or Deltek Open Plan.

  • Strong understanding of schedule development methodologies, critical path analysis, earned value management, schedule risk assessment, resource planning, and performance measurement techniques.

  • Experience supporting contractual deliverables, milestone tracking, and program performance reporting.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to assess complex scheduling challenges and develop effective solutions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present schedule analyses and recommendations to leadership, technical teams, customers, and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field.

  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PSP, EVP, or similar credentials.

  • Experience supporting DoD, MDA, U.S. Space Force, Air Force, or Intelligence Community programs.

  • Direct experience supporting radar modernization, missile warning systems, missile defense programs, space surveillance systems, command and control programs, or large-scale systems integration initiatives.

  • Experience supporting IBRs, EVMS, Agile or hybrid execution environments, and schedule risk analysis tools such as Acumen Fuse, RiskyProject, or Primavera Risk Analysis.

  • Familiarity with Digital Engineering, MBSE, configuration management processes, and enterprise project management tools such as Deltek Cobra, Jira, Confluence, and Power BI.
