Scheduler - Habana Neurosurgery

Position Details:

• Location: Tampa, FL - Habana Neurosurgery

• Status: Full Time (non-exempt)

• Shift: Monday- Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (may vary)

The scheduler is responsible for:

• Effectively and efficiently addresses the needs of both internal and external customers when scheduling patients by carefully collecting demographic, insurance, and procedure information
• Accurately schedule procedures
• Deliver complex clinical examination instructions
• Document patient response to clinical questions
• Keep the patient's physician and hospital offices current with information about their scheduled procedures
• Schedulers must be familiar with payer guidelines for balancing authorization requirements with scheduled appointment dates
• Perform general clerical support that includes answering telephones, data entry, communication, and other assigned duties
• Must be flexible and willing to rotate shifts periodically
• Must be able to travel within the BayCare Health System area using personal transportation.

Required Education:

• High School or Equivalent

Experience:

• Required 1 year customer service or

• 1 year healthcare or

• 1 year business related
