Benefits and retirementPOSITION SUMMARY The Project Controls Professional will be responsible for providing high quality project controls services, managing costs regarding all aspects of cost management for the assigned project or team. Duties include developing proposal schedules, detailed project schedules, project estimates, budgets, schedules, change management, forecasts, progress tracking, cashflow and manpower requirements.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSDevelop well defined and properly sequenced proposal schedules working with the proposal manager, estimators and construction group.Develop and maintain the project schedule for all EPC/EPCM projects. This will require analyzing all contract and proposal data, establishing well defined work activities, and creating a comprehensive, properly linked CPM schedule.Perform cost management activities in support of in-house projects to provide proactive and accurate information to project teams.Prepare and maintain engineering, fabrication and construction earned value reports.Prepare monthly status and cost reports including evaluations and presentations of current status; compare forecasts to the approved budgets and provide explanations for any variances.Prepare cash flow and cost commitment forecasts.Identify scope changes and prepare change notices/requests.Prepare and maintain scope change logs and trend logs.Ensure all project control procedures are in place and being followed.Work closely with and under the direction of the project manager to provide scheduling and cost information which will assist in management decisions. Ensure schedule execution for all facets of the EPC project is occurring. This includes engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction. DIRECTION RECEIVEDSupervision is mainly administrative with technical assignments given by Project Controls Manager. When assigned to a project, direction will come mainly from the Project Manager, in accordance with Project Controls procedures.DIRECTION OF OTHERSNone MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree or Equivalent combination of experience and training.3 to 5 years' experience in Project Controls environment, preferably in Industrial EPC field.Proficiency in Primavera P6Proficiency in full suite of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Familiarity with Procore a plus.Familiarity with Acumatica ERP a plus. SKILLS REQUIREDHave a full understanding of the flow and logistics needed for the execution of an EPC project.Possess excellent leadership skills and can effectively coordinate the engineering, procurement, and construction activities. Monitor P3 schedules and be proactive in identifying problem areas.Possess the ability to organize large amounts of information into a coherent, meaningful P6 format.Attention to detailGood interpersonal skills: interface with project team requiredGood writing skillsSite (field) construction experience a plus but not required PHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be physically fit and able to work safely at a construction site. WORKING CONDITIONSWork will be mainly conducted in-office; however, employee may be assigned to work at off-site locations from time to time. Overtime may be required at times to make deadlines. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTOccasional domestic and/or international travel and field assignments.
