Position Overview
The Survey Scheduling Specialist is accountable for coordinating and executing survey scheduling activities across all accreditation and certification programs using advanced scheduling platforms and analytics-driven tools. This role ensures survey events are scheduled proactively, accurately, and on time while supporting departmental financial performance and operational efficiency. The position plays a key role in balancing survey demand, surveyor availability, and cost controls to achieve monthly and annual organizational goals.
This is a hybrid position requiring two days per week in the Oakbrook Terrace corporate office.
Responsibilities:
- Operates within the Palantir-developed Scheduling Hub and Solver platform to plan, optimize, and execute scheduling for all survey event types across accreditation programs.
- Leverages solver‑generated recommendations and scenario modeling to align surveyor and reviewer assignments with timeliness, utilization, and budget objectives.
- Interprets Solver system outputs, optimization logic, and constraint rules to make informed scheduling decisions and resolve conflicts or exceptions.
- Ensures all survey events are scheduled within established timelines, with a strong emphasis on early placement of surveyors and reviewers ahead of event start dates.
- Proactively schedules surveyors and reviewers well in advance to maximize preparedness, availability, and survey execution quality.
- Supports departmental monthly and annual budget objectives through cost-conscious scheduling decisions, efficient routing, and optimal surveyor utilization.
- Assesses survey event requirements and applies solver-driven recommendations to determine appropriate staffing levels, survey length, and resource mix.
- Partners with leadership to monitor survey volume trends and adjust scheduling strategies to maintain throughput and fiscal targets.
- Develops and maintains forward-looking schedules that account for surveyor travel efficiency, workload balance, and operational coverage.
- Manages surveyor availability data, including PTO, administrative leave, education time, and professional engagements, ensuring calendars remain accurate and current.
- Coordinates assignments across the surveyor and reviewer workforce to ensure equitable distribution of work and alignment with expertise and credentials.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders, including field leadership, account teams, and central operations staff, to resolve scheduling conflicts and support evolving priorities.
Serves as a knowledgeable resource on scheduling policies, travel considerations, and system functionality for internal partners.

- Adaptability and comfort working in an evolving, technology-driven scheduling environment.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to shared departmental objectives.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Two to four years of experience in scheduling, operations, resource planning, or a related function.
- Experience within a healthcare, accreditation, or complex service delivery environment preferred.
- Familiarity with advanced scheduling systems, optimization tools, or analytics platforms is strongly desired.
