As a Scheduler, Here's a Big-Picture View of What You'll Do:

  • Coordinate and optimize daily and weekly schedules for nurses, therapists, and home health aides

  • Match staff availability, skills, geographic locations, and patient needs to ensure efficient scheduling

  • Respond quickly to schedule changes, call-outs, cancellations, and urgent patient needs

  • Communicate professionally with patients, families, referral sources, and clinical staff regarding scheduling matters

  • Serve as a central point of contact for scheduling-related inquiries and problem resolution

  • Maintain accurate scheduling information within company software systems and electronic medical records

  • Collaborate closely with clinical, intake, and administrative teams to improve efficiency and patient satisfaction

  • Monitor scheduling trends and identify opportunities to improve workflow and resource utilization

  • Perform administrative duties and data entry as needed to support office operations

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations

A Few Must-Haves for Schedulers:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of scheduling, dispatch, logistics, operations coordination, production planning, or related experience

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong customer service and communication skills with a professional phone presence

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel

  • Experience working with scheduling software, databases, or electronic record systems preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and data-entry accuracy

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Must successfully pass a background screening

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare scheduling experience

  • Home health, hospice, medical office, or healthcare operations experience

  • Experience managing high-volume scheduling and staffing coordination
