Schedule: Full-time 40 hours per week | Monday - Friday | 8am - 4:30pm
Department: Porter Hills Village, Health Center | Grand Rapids, MI

What You'll Do:
Join our team as a Health Center Scheduling Coordinator and help ensure exceptional resident care through smart, efficient staffing coordination. In this dynamic role, you'll work closely with nursing staff, leadership, and external agencies to create schedules that support quality care and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the schedule for skilled nursing team members, including registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), and certified nursing assistants (CNAs).
  • Coordinate shift assignments, rotations, and time-off requests to ensure appropriate staffing levels at all times.
  • Maintain web-based scheduling system.
  • Track attendance of team members, including breaks and hours worked, and follow through to applicable leader(s).
  • Collaborate with team members and Payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of timecards.
  • Address scheduling conflicts, emergencies, and unexpected absences by identifying solutions and arranging for appropriate coverage.
  • Support team members during their onboarding and orientation.
  • Provides back-up coverage for medical records activities as needed.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Skilled Nursing Scheduling experience.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • CNA certificate or nurse license, preferred.
  • Experience working with the senior population, preferred.
