General Summary

Organize & direct the scheduling and traffic functions of all corrugating medium production at the Massillon Mill.

Prerequisites

Education: Minimum of High School Education, but prefer two-year degree

Work Experience: Background in planning, scheduling and sales functions. Supervisory experience preferred.

Skills: Good communication skills - Sales and Service Orientation

Training: Basic understanding of PCs and computer programs

Others: Have a workable knowledge of Massillons quality specifications and product line.

Overall understanding of truck and rail functions and freight costs.

Essential Functions: The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to....

  • Fill in for the Assistant Superintendent and/or Superintendent in his/her absence
  • Coordinate scheduling of paper machine production and shipment to meet customer delivery requirements
  • Enter downtime for Paper Machines daily, adjust as needed
  • Direct the activities of hourly shipping employees
  • Morning inventory email daily (ex. 960 tons on floor - 9 missed loads - 31 loaded trailers)
  • Reconcile rail cars daily
  • Shipments summary daily
  • Create load codes on trim sheets daily
  • Responsible for inventory and ordering of machine felt/clothing daily
  • Responsible for ordering chemicals from Solenis, Crews and Olin
  • Responsible for school recycling programs, including maintenance and yearly inspection of trailers daily
  • Create load shells for CPUs daily
  • Dispatch loads daily
  • Reconcile stock list daily
  • Coordinate school trailer switch between the school and shuttle daily
  • Reconcile Swidorski invoice with time scans every Monday
  • Shipping month end 1st of every month
  • Production month end 1st of every month
  • Production records monthly
  • Email outage dates to PCA corporate, salaried, and contractors, as needed
  • Update outage calendar monthly or as needed
  • Interview employees after incidents occur
  • Interview for potential new hires

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Starting salary range for position: $78,400 to $117,600
  • Paid Vacation: Three (3) weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
  • Paid Holidays.
  • Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision - and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
  • Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
