    JOB SUMMARY


    The Scheduling Specialist is responsible for coordinating and scheduling patient appointments, procedures, and tests efficiently and accurately for Bradley Physician Services, LLC. This role ensures optimal resource utilization and provides excellent patient service.

    Job Responsibilities:
    Schedule and confirm patient appointments, procedures, and tests in accordance with established protocols and physician preferences.
    Manage and update patient schedules, including rescheduling and cancellations, while communicating changes effectively to patients and relevant staff.
    Verify patient insurance information and obtain necessary pre-authorizations or referrals prior to appointments.
    Respond to patient inquiries regarding scheduling, appointment preparation, and general office information via phone, email, and in-person.
    Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient flow and optimal clinic operations.
    Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
    Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts or issues promptly and professionally.
    Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding patient privacy and data security.
    Assist with other administrative tasks as needed to support the efficient operation of the practice.

    Job Qualifications:
    High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in healthcare administration or a related field preferred.
    Experience in medical scheduling or a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting required.
    Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems; experience with specific systems used by Bradley Physician Services, LLC (knowledge of CPT, DRG and ICD10 codes)
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes.
