The Department of Psychology at Marquette University invites applications for the Schneider Endowed Distinguished Professor, a position at the advanced Associate or Full Professor level beginning August 2027. The Schneider Endowed Distinguished Professorship was established to advance scholarship and training in a mental health treatment related field and, as such, we are particularly interested in candidates with an established track-record of investigating trauma or addiction. Priority will be given to qualified candidates trained in Clinical Psychology with strong evidence as a scholar, teacher, and mentor, but other qualifications will be considered. The ideal candidate will be able to contribute to the department's scholarship, commitment to teaching undergraduate and graduate students, and community engagement. Research or scholarship responsibilities include conducting transformative research in trauma or addictions, developing an independent research program with potential for extramural funding, establishing a strong publication record, and research mentorship of undergraduate and graduate students.
Teaching responsibilities may include undergraduate and graduate teaching (for our APA-accredited Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology), and/or clinical supervision of graduate student clinicians in our department clinic, the Center for Psychological Services. The ideal candidate will be licensed or license eligible in Wisconsin.

Duties and Responsibilities Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ph.D. with seven-ten years of college teaching experience. Distinguished teaching and scholarship with established reputation among scholars commensurate with the appointment to a senior rank with tenure.
