The anticipated hiring range for this position is $5,083 - $5,200 per month.

The final salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships, the Scholarship & Student Success Coordinator coordinates and administers  institutional, donor-funded, and externally supported scholarship programs that promote  student recruitment, retention, persistence, and degree completion. The incumbent serves as a professional resource  to students, faculty, staff, donors, and external partners by providing guidance regarding scholarship opportunities, eligibility requirements, application processes, and award administration while ensuring compliance with university, CSU, donor, and regulatory requirements.

The position coordinates scholarship initiatives including those funded through the Ballmer Gift and other institutional scholarship programs, monitors student participation and program outcomes, and collaborates with campus partners to enhance scholarship services and student success.

The incumbent also supports continuous improvement of scholarship administration through effective use of technology, standardized processes, and data informed recommendations to improve operational efficiency, increase student access to scholarships, and enhance the overall student experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate scholarship programs and student support initiatives funded through the Ballmer Gift.
• Monitor student participation, eligibility, retention, persistence, and completion outcomes associated with Ballmer-funded scholarships and identify opportunities to enhance student success.
• Prepare reports, analyses, and presentations regarding program outcomes and student success metrics.
• Collaborate with Enrollment Management, Financial Aid, Academic Affairs, Advancement, and Student Affairs to coordinate student support services and maximize the impact of Ballmer-funded initiatives.
• Assist with donor stewardship activities, impact reporting, and scholarship recipient engagement.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience: Two (2) years of professional experience in student services, financial aid, scholarship administration, enrollment management or in a related field. A master’s degree in a job‑related field may be substituted for one year of professional experience.
• Education: Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration or a job‑related field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Working knowledge of the practices, procedures, and activities of student services programs, including scholarship administration, financial aid, enrollment management, and student success initiatives.
• General knowledge of the methods and problems of organizational and program management, including the ability to analyze business processes and recommend operational improvements.
• Working knowledge of research methods, data collection, analysis, and reporting techniques; ability to collect, compile, analyze, and evaluate data and prepare clear verbal and written presentations based on findings.
• Ability to interpret and apply program rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements; use initiative and resourcefulness in planning work assignments and implementing program improvements.
• Ability to reason logically, make sound decisions, and carry through actions that have implications for other program and service areas.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience administering scholarship programs in a college or university setting.
• Experience with scholarship management software and PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
• Experience working with donor-funded programs and stewardship reporting.
• Experience with business process improvement, workflow automation, or project management.
• Knowledge of CSU policies and practices related to scholarships and financial aid.
• Experience analyzing student success and enrollment data.
