School Adjustment Counselor

• Maintain a caseload of IEP, 504, and general education students
• Provide individual and group therapeutic counseling to students
• Meet with students and families to address social and emotional issues that impact education
• Consult with teachers and staff to provide social-emotional learning within the classroom
• Provide crisis intervention services
• Participate in the IEP and/or 504 process
• Collaborate with the Principal, School Psychologist, and Behaviorist as part of the Behavior Support Team
• Work as a team member with assistant principal for crisis and grade level support
• Serve as a liaison between DCF and the school
• Make referrals to mental health and other community resources
• Massachusetts DESE School Adjustment Counselor licensure required
• LMHC/LICSW licensure preferred
