Looking for new to the profession and seasoned mental health child and adolescent therapists! No weekends and potential to work just a school day schedule (possible summers off if not needing to work all year round). Want to support students with learning coping skills, social skills trauma resiliency, and provided individual and group therapy? As a School Based Therapist at Family Service & Children’s Aid, you will provide behavioral health services that help youth in a local elementary school to improve their overall well-being. Provide individual and group therapy. Work with parents to assist their student in improving their mental health. Engage in activities within the school that are geared towards positive mental health and wellness. Provide professional development opportunities for the school staff. Provide interventions that align with the multitier system and support Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports in the school. Work as a team with other school staff such as Principals, Social Workers, Behavioral Interventionist, and paraprofessionals but still also have the clinical support form FSCA (Best of Both Worlds!). You would be helping to maintain an established State Funded program in Townsend Elementary, Western Elementary and Northwest High School, which means access to State Sponsored Conferences with other school-based professionals.
