    • G-Tube Management: Execute enteral (G-tube) feedings, administer medications, perform flushes, and provide routine site care, according to physician orders.
    • Positioning & Mobility: Safely position and reposition the student to promote airway safety, skin integrity, body alignment, and overall comfort.
    • Emergency Response: Recognize subtle changes in medical condition, initiate prompt nursing interventions, and activate emergency protocols (including EMS) when necessary.
    • Documentation & Communication: Maintain precise, real-time documentation of assessments, treatments, medications, and events. Maintain clear, collaborative communication with the District Nurse, school staff, parents/guardians, and healthcare providers.
    • Educational Integration: Accompany and support the student during classroom instruction, therapy sessions, school meals, transportation, and field trips to ensure full inclusion.

    Qualifications:

    • Current, unrestricted RN or LPN license in the State of Wisconsin.
    • Active CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
    • Demonstrated ability to recognize and respond to medical emergencies (e.g., respiratory distress, seizures, aspiration risk).
    • Physical ability to safely lift, position, and transfer the student using proper body mechanics and assistive equipment.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective clinical documentation and team collaboration.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior experience in pediatric, 1:1 private duty, home health, or school-based nursing.
    • Direct clinical experience with airway management, suctioning, and supplemental oxygen.
    • Demonstrated experience managing seizure disorders and administering emergency rescue medications.
    • Hands-on experience with G-tube care, enteral feedings, and medication administration.

Reasonable and reliable attendance is a requirement of this position.
