Job Requirements.
EducationRequirements: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or Communication Sciences and Disorders) or equivalent required
CertificationsRequirements: Texas state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and/or eligibility to obtain; ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred; may require school-based/appropriate state documentation for Denton ISD openings
ExperienceRequirements: Minimum 1 year of clinical and/or school-based experience working with students
OtherRequirements: Must be able to collaborate with educators and families to support student speech/language needs; strong assessment and documentation skills; ability to work in a school setting during school days; professional communication and teamwork mindset; background check and required school onboarding documentation as applicable for Denton ISD; must be comfortable developing and implementing therapy plans aligned to IEP goals

JobResponsibilities:
Provide school-based speech and language therapy services to support student IEP goals
Conduct assessments as assigned and contribute to eligibility/IEP team decisions based on student needs
Deliver therapy in accordance with therapy plans and documented best practices for speech-language pathology
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and progress notes to support IEP compliance
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and related service providers to promote student communication outcomes
