In practical terms: it is large enough to offer real professional exposure, established systems, and multidisciplinary resources—not a district trying to run special education services with two paper clips and a group email.

Elementary caseload that allows you to build meaningful pediatric and school-based experience
Exact school placement discussed during the interview, giving you an opportunity to ask about the team, caseload, and building before committing
CFY candidates can begin developing the direct school-based experience needed to build a long-term SLP career
Experienced CCC-SLPs are preferred, but certification is not being used as a reason to shut out promising new clinicians
Work within one of Michigan’s largest school systems, providing exposure to established special education programs and multidisciplinary teams
Join a district recognized with multiple National Blue Ribbon School awards

Job Details

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Provide speech and language services to an elementary student caseload
Evaluate students and develop appropriate speech-language goals
Deliver individual and small-group therapy based on student needs and IEP requirements
Participate in IEP development and collaborate with teachers, families, and special education professionals
Monitor student progress and adjust treatment approaches as needed
Complete required school-based therapy and progress documentation

SKILLS YOU NEED
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related qualifying program
Michigan SLP certification or appropriate state credential required by the start date
New graduates and CFY candidates are accepted
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence is preferred but not required
