Position Title: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Schedule: Day Shift | 5x7.5 Hours | 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Duration: 44-Week Assignment
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students, support individualized education programs (IEPs), and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote student success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognition, communication, and swallowing disorders
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and IEP goals
• Deliver evidence-based therapy to improve communication skills and functional outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and reports
• Collaborate with educators, psychologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other school staff
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to care planning discussions
• Educate families and caregivers regarding therapy goals, progress, and home strategies
• Support and implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems as appropriate
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, district policies, and professional standards
• Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervising administrator
Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active State License to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA or CFY eligible
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology principles and evidence-based practices
Preferred Experience:
• Minimum of one (1) year of clinical or school-based experience preferred
• Experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, or skilled nursing facilities is a plus
